Krosno Gas springs Quality Catalogue

Partners =>  Krosno

FA Krosno started production on May 13, 2006, having purchased the necessary manufacture plants, along with relevant intellectual property rights and trademarks, for gas springs, ball joints and tie rods manufacturer. At the end of 2006 the company’s operations were enriched with rebuilt clutches and shock absorber components machining; all the production assets being bought from the Delphi Corporation.

Gas springs are made as pressure gas cylinder and a piston rod assembly with wide variety of fitting ends attached, depending on the type of mounting and operation. The gas spring’s force (F1) corresponds to the ciliner-contained nitrogen pressure value multiplied by piston rod cross-sectional area.

Gas springs and their application

FA Krosno gas springs make our everyday life easier even without us being aware of how often we use them: lifting the boot lids of our cars, opening the roof windows and kitchen cabinet doors, when we rise the seats in our office chairs, go by bus, etc. Gas springs are mounted in farming machinery. They are everywhere to reduce human effort when lifting hatches, flaps, trap doors and using many appliances, and make the move as smooth and controlled as possible. FA Krosno gas springs are most widely used in automotive applications, e.g. to help lift car tailgates and hoods. Nowadays, most cars are equipped with at least two gas springs.

FA Krosno offers two types of gas springs – with hydraulic and dynamic dumping. A dynamic dumping gas spring slows down very smoothly which results in a gentle stop of a lifted lid or flap or other raised item. Hydraulic dumping gas springs slow down more abruptly but in equal efficient manner. One of the most crucial difference between the two types is the way they are installed. Gas springs with dynamic dumping can be installed in any position whereas those with hydraulic dumping should be installed with piston rods positioned downwards to make them work properly. Both types have their respective applications. The dumping type can be chosen according to customer needs. Gas springs also vary in their length, stroke, force, the cylinders and piston rods diameter. Below you can find all gas spring parameters available in FA Krosno’s offer.

Quality first

FA Krosno gas springs are reliable products of proven quality. It is best evidenced by the market-wide recognition they have been enjoying for many years. Both aftermarket customers and OE companies (Fiat, Skoda, Iveco) believe and rely on FA Krosno’s quality.

Every FA Krosno gas spring undergoes quality tests before it is sent to a customer. Therefore, we are sure that our gas springs meet our customers’ quality expectations in full.
