NRF Products Catalogue |
![]() NRF was established in 1927 and is a leading European Aftermarket manufacturer and distributor of Automotive industrial and railway heat transfer products. NRF's manufacturing and distribution companies are located in almost every Western European country. In 1989 NRF joined the Modine Group as its European Aftermarket division. The 500+ employees of NRF are dedicated to meeting their customers' requirements with OEM quality and ‘same day' service anywhere in Europe. With an 'in stock' inventory of over 150,000 pieces covering in excess of 5,000 different products, the NRF companies are geared for immediate delivery. In addition, the plants are ready to meet your special 'one off' requirements with diverse and 'same day' maufacturing capabilities. In 1927, founder R. Bloksma Sr. started the 'Nederlandsche Radiateuren Fabriek' in an Amsterdam basement at the Jacob van Lennepkade. At first, the company only repaired radiators. During the 1930s, NRF began manufacturing radiators in Amsterdam. Immediately following the war, the company began to build machines so it could manufacture radiators itself. To earn back the development costs, the machines were sold to competitors until the 1960s. In 1954, a second production facility was opened at Mill, geared towards production of radiators for export. NRF received a commission from Dutch Rail in 1959 to design the first high-capacity radiator to be used in a train called 'The Blue Angel'. That same year, the first box cooler was marketed, invented by NRF and is still used for marine applications. Eight years later Amsterdam was closed. NRF in Mill became the head office. It immediatly received a major order of 18,000 radiators for the DAF 55. As an OEM supplier, NRF also produced radiators for the subsequent Volvo 300 and 400 series. In 1980, NRF opened its first international branch at Valenciennes, France. Internationalisation would expand over the years, extending to all major European countries. In 1989, NRF became part of Modine Manufacturing Company in the USA and became Modine's main office for the European aftermarket. In 1998 NRF started producing aluminum heat transfer products. NRF offers the largest aftermarket product line of:
for automobiles, commercial vehicles, agriculture equipment, industrial, marine applications and Railways, NRF also offers a full range of Mobile AC-products, such as:
The quality of its products enjoys absolute priority at NRF. The professionally equipped quality control department constantly monitors the product and the production processes. NRF and its manufacturing companies, as well as Modine, have over 75 years a history of engineering innovation, high tech manufacturing, and quality for both OEM and Aftermarket customers. NRF's customers range from one-man radiator shops to the largest automobile and off-highway manufactures in the world. The commitment of our employees to quality and service has ISO certification for all product lines. ![]() NRF started brazed aluminum production in 1998. NRF brings over 20 years of aluminum manufacturing experience and all NRF products are designed to meet the highest industy standards. In the aluminum plant NRF is using environmentally – friendly methods, NRF manufactures charge air coolers, charge aircooler cores, complete radiators, oilcoolers and "special order" products for cars, trucks and industrial applications.
NRF offers a full range of radiators and heaters for passenger, truck, bus, and "off highway" applications. These are manufactured in aluminum/plastic, copper/plastic, and copper/brass depending on the specific usage. NRF prides themselves with a 75 year history as a core manufacturer for every imaginable application. NRF standard cores (both copper/brass and aluminum) are available in the NRF catalog in over 2,500 part numbers.Additionally, with over 10 different fin systems, tubes, and material thickness NRF is able to custom make a cores for almost any application. These "specials" are normally made on a same day basis and NRF normally delivers within 24 hours anywhere in Europe. Our 99% + delivery history requires cellular manufacturing, precision logistics, planned stock management and above all …. flexibility to meet the customer’s demand. NRF offers a full range of OE quality Mobile AC products and shop-equipment. Technically spoken, an AC system does not produce cold air nut it absorbs heat (cold is an absence of heat). ![]()
Oil coolers are used to cool oil and hydraulic fluids used in engines, fuel oil (diesel), transmissions, power steering, hydraulic pumps, drives and other hydraulic equipment. NRF offers a large range of oil coolers for automotive, truck, agricultural and industrial heavy duty ‘off road’ applications both for Original Equipment and Service. Manufactured mainly to cool the automatic transmission of automobiles and are located inside the plastic or metal tanks of a radiator. The water coolant inside the radiator cools the automatic transmission fluid inside the oil cooler. These are available in a large variety of sizes and performance depending on the cooling need. Modine’s “DONUT” ™, water-cooled engine oil cooler is engineered to reduce the high oil temperatures encountered in today’s high performance diesel and gasoline engines. Typical applications include cars, trucks, and vans, agriculture, construction and industrial equipment. It can be used alone or can replace or supplement existing coolers, and because the cooler’s design permits its installation at the oil filter location of most engines, additional oil lines and complicated water manifolds are unnecessary. Its “Lo-Profile” design makes it especially ideal for under hood applications where space limitations are critical. NRF’s large range include five universal models which can easily be adapted for small series use. Mainly used for automotive and stationary engines. It can be used for oil and hydraulic applications in a medium pressure range. It’s advantages include compact size and high efficiency. Used for industrial and off highway oil and hydraulic applications requiring high pressure and build to operate in extreme working conditions.
