Woking Brake Discs Brake Shoes Brake Discs and Brake drum

Partners =>  Woking

Eurofren, the company that manufactures and commercializes Road House, Remsa and Woking friction products. Founded in 1970, Eurofren becames one of the first friction material manufacturer. It´s whoelly owned since 1999, by TRW, one of the main automotive indurtry supplier. Is the acknowledement of the company´s prestige.

A Spanish manufacturer of brake shoes, brake discs, brake linings Automotive Parts

This process consists of subjecting the pads to a series of thermal impacts at high temperature (500ºC) , wich makes it possible to eliminate the gases left over from the manufacturing precess.

The period of adaptation of the pads to the used discs is reduced with the implementation of this system in the manufacturing process.

This is composed of phenol material wich can absorb vibrations produced by all the systems involved in the running of the vehicle (suspension, steering, chassis), avoiding their transmission to the pads.

Friction material is the main component of a brake pad and it performs the most important s. It sholud maintain a stable friction rate at all temperatures, pressures, etc. At the same time it must maintain a gradual level of wear and be capable of evacuating the heat generating by braking.

The metal support is the necessary complement to obtain optimum performance from the friction material It is manufacturated by means of a specific cutting process, wich attains an absolute degree of flatness and ensures that the part is kept within its specifications. The painting process prevents the metal support from rusting.

The new quality standard SE 4.1 develops the concept of the brake pad in the automobile spares and components sector. It was the result of several comparative studies and now holds a position as the highest performance spares brake pad on the market.

  • Average reduction of 7,3% in braking distance.
  • Stable friction rate (m) within any temperature or pressure range (standardised AK-Master test).
  • Elimination of heavy metal components in friction material, keeping ahead of the "End of life vehicles" regulation, wich became effective on March 2003.
  • Improvement programme for driving confort (NVH) wich reduces factors such as Judder, Squealing or Groaning, wich produce unpleasant noises on braking.
  • The new Road House formula considerably improves braking efficiency when hot and reduces the dangerous possibility of fading to an absolute minimum. This development, through the SE 4.1 quality standard, produces a similar braking response at 500ºC to that produced within the normal temperature range (150º-300º).

In carrying out the numerous tests, both in the laboratory and on the road, special attention has been paid to the data obtained in relation to the wear and tear of the friction material, since this is a factor wich is overrated by the layman. Normally, long-life products are better formulated, as they possess a greater cohesion of the raw materials. Therefore, better all-round performance is achieved at different temperatures and sensitivity to speed is improved.

The data obtained in the comparative studies of both the first equipment installed and of the original spares, show that Road House brake pads have an excellent rate of wear and tear.

With a product range of over 400 references, ROAD HOUSE is fully prepared to satisfy the demand for brake shoes to fit European, American and Asian vehicles.

At present, the company is investing a considerable part of its funds in the standardisation of this product line with European quality standard ECE R90

The ROAD HOUSE shoe has a metal support which has been treated with high-resistance varnish which gives the part a very high level of rust protection.

An organic mixture composed of new elements of the highest quality, without asbestos and without heavy metals, which is ideal to maintain a stable rate of friction, free of fading and noise.

The use of a phenol adhesive allows the friction material to adapt perfectly to the metal support, thus giving much higher shear strenght values than those required by the European standards.

Inkjet printing enables clear marking on the metal support of the product code, standardisation code ECE R-90 and traceability code.

The ROAD HOUSE brake shoe can come with a variety of optional accessories, such as an adjustment kit (to adapt the shoe to the drum), handbrake lever, etc., all necessary for correct assembly.

The Road House programme is based on a wide range of product references. This programme contains over 700 references, all of which been awarded the most prestigious quality standard certification.

The mechanisation process of the friction surface is carried out with the help of state-of-the-art machinery which enables us to guarantee the product's warp tolerance.

The use of a pearl grey mixture with laminated graphite enables the disc to withstand the highest of temperatures.

In ventilated discs, the cooling system is improved by rotary blades which enable air to circulate through the interior part of the disc.

A precise control of friction surface alignment allows a reduction in vibration which guarantees a high level of comfort during braking.

The precision of the diameter of the fixing holes allows total accuracy in centring the disc on the vehicle's axle, which guarantees optimum quality in the assembly.

This feature of the disc complies with all the quality standards set by car manufacturers and avoids possible strain or distortion caused by high temperatures.
